Assistant Professor

The Dean of the Faculty of Arts, Masaryk University is seeking an Assistant Professor to join the Department of English and American Studies specializing in translation theory and practice, and interpreting from and to English. 

Beyond this focus, the applicant should be capable to lead English language seminars (C2 level) and teach courses in the field of English language teacher education for higher secondary schools. He or she should aim at academic advancement (associate professorship, full professorship), expand his or her portfolio of offered courses beyond the scope of translation studies and translation practice in line with current developments in the field (Bachelor’s and Master’s levels).
