Interpreter for the Independent Investigative Mechanism for Myanmar

Job description

Under the direct supervision of the Front Office and/or the Collection, Analysis and Sharing Section (CASS) of the Independent Investigative Mechanism for Myanmar (IIMM), the Interpreter shall be responsible for providing interpretation from one of the following languages of Myanmar (Burmese, Rohingya and/or Rakhine) into English, and vice versa, including interpretation of meetings, interviews and similar processes, and performing related tasks, as necessary. 

The Individual Contractor shall at all times maintain strict security and confidentiality of information obtained during the conduct of the assignment: Provide simultaneous interpretation in English and Burmese, Rohingya or Rakhine languages, for the purpose of meetings, interviews, or similar processes. Participating in, and assisting in the preparation and conduct of, missions by the IIMM.
