Adriano talks about keeping up with the translation profession
The KCTI interview series is back!
This time Adriano Ferraresi is in front of the camera, sharing his insights on how the language industry, universities and newly graduated professionals can collaborate to shape the future of the translation profession.
Adriano is a key actor in the KCTI project, being a member of both the steering committee and the European Master’s in Translation (EMT) Network. He also coordinates the Master’s in Specialised Translation at the University of Bologna.
He is a member of the Terminology and Computer-Assisted Translation Centre, and principal researcher for the Italian national project UNITE (Universally Inclusive Technologies to practice English). Adriano holds a master’s in translation from the University of Bologna and a PhD from the University of Naples Federico II - he has also co-authored over 40 publications!
In this KCTI Talk, Adriano shares insights into his recent teaching activities in Kenya, his thoughts on the influence of the EMT and KCTI on the language profession, and his perspective, as both a trainer of future translators and EMT representative on the KCTI steering committee, on how KCTI can help future professionals to keep abreast of the latest developments.
