Today sees the official launch of the Knowledge Centre on Translation and Interpretation (KCTI). This new platform marks a significant milestone in the way knowledge sharing has evolved in language services.

The new KCTI illustrates the successful merging of the Knowledge Centre on Interpretation (KCI) with DG Translation's expertise, creating an all-inclusive hub for both translation and interpretation professionals.

The new platform keeps the trusted features and user-friendly interface of its predecessor while expanding the scope of its content to cover both the interpretation and translation fields. This will serve a broader community of language professionals and show how both of these disciplines increasingly complement each other.

The launch of the KCTI comes at a crucial time when both translation and interpretation face similar challenges and opportunities, particularly with the arrival of artificial intelligence and emerging technologies. By bringing these communities together, we're starting a more comprehensive discussion about the future of language services and language professions at large.

Users can now access the new KCTI platform, and will be automatically redirected from the previous KCI address. KCI users will see that their familiar interpretation resources have been integrated with new translation content, creating a more comprehensive knowledge-sharing environment.

We invite language professionals, students, researchers and industry stakeholders to explore the expanded platform and take part in this growing community of practice, through knowledge sharing, discussions and networking.

Join us on this exciting new chapter!
