The European Language Resource Coordination (ELRC) recently published an update on support tools for the Ukrainian language.
You will no doubt remember the call we published back in March, shortly after the start of the military aggression against Ukraine, inviting you to share relevant data sets with the ELRC. Now, a couple of months later, the ELRC has published this interesting overview of the responses it received, and it is impressive to see both how massive the response has been, and how strong the demand for Ukrainian language support is.
You can still contribute by sending additional suggestions and/or data sets to info@lr-coordination.eu or by uploading your resources directly on https://elrc-share.eu/.
We would also like to remind you of some other initiatives that we have been advertising over the past few months, such as crash courses in interpreting for people wanting to help Ukrainian refugees, the bilingual pictogram booklet produced by the Publications Office of the European Union and the recent creation, in cooperation with our colleagues from the Publications Office, of a new dedicated KCI language community for Ukrainian language resources, to which you are more than welcome to contribute.
Дякуємо вам!*
