Intern - Languages (French):
This internship position is located in the French Verbatim Reporting Section, Meetings and Publishing Division, Department for General Assembly and Conference Management (DGACM) in New York. The internship is for two (2) months, with a possibility of extension, subject to the needs of the Department. The internship is UNPAID and full-time. Interns work five days per week (40hours) under the supervision of the Chief of the Verbatim Reporting Section/Service or the internship supervisor, as appropriate. Candidates are encouraged to highlight their specific skills and/or experience in their application. This internship may be discharged in person or remotely. Responsibilities Interns will be responsible for the following duties:
- translating into French, which must be the candidate’s main language, verbatim records of meetings from English for training and other purposes and subject to review;
- transcribing or reviewing French transcriptions;
- assist with testing of technologies, including speech-to-text;
- performing other related duties as required.
