Cooperation between DG Interpretation and universities that train interpreters
The mission of DG Interpretation is to enable multilingual communication at the core of EU decision-making by providing quality interpretation services.
To secure the availability of a sufficient number of qualified conference interpreters, DG Interpretation provides training support to a limited number of courses in Member States and candidate countries whose curriculum and pedagogical practices aim at preparing graduates of interpreting studies who can pass our accreditation test.
European Masters in Conference Interpreting
The European Commission and the European Parliament collaborate closely with the consortium of European Masters in Conference Interpreting, which groups together postgraduate programmes in conference interpreting that adhere to standards of excellence.
