When there is a specific need for interpreters with certain languages, DG Interpretation may organise, independently or in cooperation with other interpreting services, ad hoc training to help graduates with a Masters in interpreting to pass our accreditation tests.
Examples of ad hoc training activities organised over the years:
- PASS (Professional Accreditation Support Scheme) programme: an intensive interinstitutional training programme of up to 4 weeks
- integration programme
- Blue Book Traineeship for Interpreting: a 5-month dedicated programme of interpretation activities and administrative tasks, as part of the Blue Book Traineeship scheme
Accreditation test – simulated test videos
Before you apply for and sit a test, you may find it useful to watch a ‘simulated test’.
Please note that the videos linked below do not show the current testing format as the tests are now conducted completely online. The videos are being updated to reflect the current procedures. For the most up-to-date information on accreditation tests, please consult Work as a freelance interpreter at the EU.
