The guidelines below help translators of EU documents in all 24 official languages. Each set provides language-specific recommendations to ensure clarity, consistency and accuracy.

The European Commission library search tool, Find-eR, lets you search for articles, books, databases, journals and other materials relating to translation, all curated by DG Translation’s librarians. Find-eR’s advanced search helps you find multilingual documents and translation resources. You can search for terms, phrases and documents across various databases and translation memories, and find resources to help with your translation and research work from across the EU.
