About the webinar 

Public Service Interpreting (PSI) sits at the intersection of quality, access, and public trust. This 90-minute session brings together practitioners and standardization leads to explore where PSI standards stand today, how they’re evolving, and what they mean for training and day-to-day practice across Europe. 

Speakers 

Leonardo Doria de Souza 

Board member of the European Commission’s Knowledge Centre for Translation and Interpreting and of the European Network for Public Service Interpreting and Translation. 

Leonardo works at the interface of policy and practice for language services in the public sector, with a focus on quality assurance and access to services. 

Remco Ruiter 

Conference interpreter at DG Interpretation of the European Commission and Convenor of ISO/TC 37/SC 5/WG 4 on interpreting and translation teaching and training programs. 

Remco contributes to the development of standards that support consistent quality and professionalization in interpreting.
