Biography
Pavol Šveda is an associate professor of translation and interpreting at Comenius University in Bratislava, Slovakia, where he specialises in the field of interpreter training, didactics, and the integration of new technologies into curriculum design. His scholarly work extends to the sociology of translation and interpreting, focusing on mapping current trends and challenges within the profession. He has authored and edited multiple books and numerous articles, recently the “Changing Paradigms and Approaches in Interpreter Training - Perspectives from Central Europe” (Routledge, 2021). He is an active conference interpreter, a sworn and literary translator, currently serving as the president of the Slovak Association of Translators and Interpreters.
