Public service translation

Public service translation is a specialised field of translation that helps people overcome language barriers when accessing written information and communicating with the public service. This includes the translation of documents, such as application forms, information leaflets, official notices and personal records in areas such as healthcare, education, social services and public administration.

The aim is to make written information more accurate, clear and accessible, so that people can understand their rights and responsibilities, access services on an equal basis, and participate more fully in their communities. Public service translation also helps support legal compliance and follows professional standards to ensure effectiveness and positive social impact.
