An interpreter shares her journey
During this second Knowledge Centre on Translation and Interpretation (KCTI) Careers Corner, in the framework of a pilot project involving universities of IAMLADP’s Universities Contact Group, Ms Hayam Elissawy - Arabic interpreter at the United Nation Office in Vienna (UNOV) - offered university students firsthand insights into the world of professional interpretation.

Interviewed by a Spanish booth colleague, Mr José Manuel Sanz Follana, Ms Elissawy shared her background, what led her to become an interpreter, and what continues to inspire her today.
