In April 2025, the Norwegian Association for Translation and Interpreting Research (FOT) launched NTOT, a peer-reviewed journal focused on translation and interpreting research. The journal is aimed at researchers, trainers, students and professionals in the field. Its launch coincided with the release of the first issue, and a second issue is planned for later in 2025.

Volume 1 centres on interpreting, featuring both empirical and theoretical research articles:

Although NTOT has not yet been listed in the Norwegian Kanalregisteret (the national register of approved academic journals), the editors aim for inclusion by 2026. The journal has already sparked considerable interest, and inclusion is expected to boost its visibility among both scholars and practitioners.

NTOT publishes articles in Norwegian, Swedish and Danish, and considers contributions in other Nordic languages. While it prioritises topics relevant to the Nordic region, it also welcomes work from other contexts.
