Conference Interpreter/Translator - French and English

The Pacific Community (SPC) is the principal scientific and technical organisation in the Pacific region, supporting development since 1947. We are known for our knowledge and innovation in such areas as fisheries science, public health surveillance, geoscience, and conservation of plant genetic resources for food and agriculture.

The role - the Conference Interpreter/Translator will provide conference interpretation services in English and French, and translation services in French, to enable the SPC to operate as a bilingual organisation, in accordance with its mandate, to stimulate knowledge flows and for practical purposes.

The key responsibilities of the role include the following: 

• Conference and other interpretation services
• Coordination of interpretation services, in support to the interpretation team leader
• Translation services
• Technologies, terminology and other tasks

Language requirements: French A, English B.
